Does HOME Church need to file permits for the renovations?
No. The interior renovations in the main auditorium, foyer, and stage does not need permits as we are not renovating anything structural.
Why is HOME Church renovating the interior of the Church building?
Big picture: Renovating the interior will leverage ministry to the neighborhood and congregation. The February 9th Vision Update explains why, and you can access it HERE.
In addition, we have constant maintenance needs, such as electrical upgrades, carpet needs, and sound and worship realities, which will be professionally provided. For more details, please contact Pastor Andy.
What are the costs of the renovation?
The renovations have been put into three phases in conversations with the board, contracting options, and key leaders. These phases include:
Phase One – interior renovation of balcony, auditorium, stage, and foyer (to a welcome lounge). This can include an out-of-school care option for neighbourhood ministry.
Phase Two – parking lot to include an interactive activity section with basketball hoops and pickleball courts. This can include parking rentals for the area.
Phase Three – daycare and basement renovation in partnership with the daycare licencing needs and wants.
The board is focused on phase one of the project. This project will include a 50/50 split of costs paid by the building fund and funds raised. We will do this in each phase presented. To date, costs are presented in the February 9th Vision Update.
Are you taking any suggestions or recommendations on the renovations?
Yes.
We are working with the same construction contractor who replaced the church's upper roof and exterior overhang. We are currently assessing the church's renovation needs and preparing preliminary budgets for each stage.

What is the timeline of the renovations?
The timeline is based on meeting the benchmarks the board has set. Each renovation phase is split 50/50 between raising funds and using the existing building fund to cover the costs. For more details, please contact Pastor Andy.
When will there be updates on the renovations?
